Board Certified in Sports Physical Therapy
Erik is a licensed physical therapist and is board certified and residency trained in sports physical therapy. Nationwide, only 4% of physical therapists have completed residency training, with less than 1% being in the sports specialty. He has worked with active individuals and athletes of all ages, from middle and high school to collegiate and professional levels. He also has significant experience treating the aging active adult and develops personalized rehabilitation programs for those looking to get back to recreational sports and activities such as pickleball, golf, tennis, fitness classes and weight training.
Erik received his undergraduate education from Texas Christian University where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and maintains his certification and licensure as an athletic trainer. He graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and completed his highly specialized residency training from the Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute where he practiced until opening POST.
Erik’s mission is to provide each patient with individualized skilled physical therapy care, so they can be empowered to maximize their quality of life through movement. He treats all orthopedic injuries and conditions as well as post- concussion and vestibular symptoms. He is also certified in intramuscular dry needling. Erik is a direct access provider, which means you can schedule an evaluation with him without needing a physician referral.
